Salted Caramel Affogato Shake
Inspired by the Italian coffee-based dessert consisting of a scoop of vanilla gelato ‘drowned’ in hot espresso, this shake adds salted caramel to the mix for a flavoursome ice-cold treat.

Ingredients
- 75g Sugar
- 200ml Kerrymaid Double
- 1 Generous pinch salt
- 240ml Angelito Ice Cream Mix
- 2 Double espresso shots
- 240g Ice
- Kerrymaid Whipping, to garnish
Method
- Heat sugar in a pan until it becomes a dark caramel. Add Kerrymaid Double and heat until all dissolved. Add salt and check seasoning. Set aside. 
- Add Angelito Ice Cream Mix, espresso and ice to blender and blend until smooth. 
- Add 2tbsp of sauce to the bottom of each glass and top with shake, pouring aggressively to get the appropriate marbling. 
- Top with whipped Kerrymaid Whipping and a drizzle of the remaining sauce.

- Switch the espresso out for strongly brewed instant or filter coffee for a similar result without the coffee machine!
