Kerrymaid’s French Toast
This is a versatile breakfast option that can satisfy both sweet and savoury palates. Served as a sweet option, the dish promotes weight gain as well as encouraging fruit consumption. Served as a savoury option, it offers both protein and iron, ideal for residents with anaemia.

Premium Baking Block, Grated Red
Ingredients
- Bread
- 600g Kerrymaid Premium Baking Block
- 30 Eggs
- 500ml Milk
- 300g Sugar
- 2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tsp Salt
Method
- Place a heavy bottomed frying pan on a low heat
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon (skip this step for a savoury version)
- Whisk the eggs, milk, salt and cinnamon sugar together and place into a shallow container
- Melt the Kerrymaid Premium Baking Block in the pan. Dip the bread in the egg mix and fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Select toppings such as sliced banana and apple syrup or strawberry compote and serve with whipped Kerrymaid Double
