Premium Baking Block, Grated Red
Ingredients
- 175g (6oz) Plain flour
- 115g (4oz) Wholemeal flour
- 15g (½oz) Baking powder
- 85g (3oz) Kerrymaid Premium Baking Block
- 225g (8oz) Kerrymaid Grated Red
- 2 sticks Celery (finely chopped)
- 1 Spring Onion (finely chopped)
- ¼ tsp Mixed Herbs
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- ¼ pt (5 floz) Milk
Method
- Sieve the plain, wholemeal flour and baking powder together
- Add the Kerrymaid Premium Baking Block and rub until it resembles fine breadcrumbs
- Add the cheese keeping roughly about 75g (3oz) for the top
- Add the celery, onion and herbs
- Beat the eggs and add the eggs and milk to the mix to create a soft dough
- Press the dough into a pre-greased, loose based loaf tin
- Sprinkle remaining cheese over the loaves
- Bake at 180°C for approx. 35–40 minutes
