Christmas, the most indulgent time of the year and a time when one dessert just isn’t enough! We have put together some of our favourite Christmas dessert recipes that are sure to impress.
It doesn’t get much more delicious (or Christmassy) than a yule log. The indulgent chocolate icing and soft chocolate sponge are always a huge hit! Our recipe includes Kerrymaid Buttery, as well as Kerrymaid Double, we’ve also added some golden syrup to help with the texture of the sponge and to ensure that it’s deliciously rich and sweet. A yule log can also be decorated beautifully, try dusting on some icing sugar and adding a few sprigs of holly to brighten up the dinner table.
Eton Mess is typically a summer recipe, so we’ve given this family favourite a delicious winter twist! Our recipe is particularly unusual as we mix both Kerrymaid Whipping with Kerrymaid Custard, we then add winter berries, such as blackberries to bring in those festive flavours.
Our Minty Chocolate Truffles are perfectly sized and extra indulgent, think of them as a fancier After Eight! They’re perfect to leave on the table for enjoyment throughout the evening with a festive hot drink. We include Kerrymaid Single, Kerrymaid Double and Kerrymaid Buttery to ensure that they’re extra creamy and smooth. The best part, is rolling them in different ingredients to finish them off, try finely chopped pistachios, chocolate and amaretti biscuits to bring different textures, colours and flavours to your truffles.
Our Jaconde Sponge will look beautiful on your Christmas table with its snow-white finish. We like to serve ours with Kerrymaid Custard with an orange twist to bring something a little different to the table.
