That’s right, this year we are very proudly sponsoring the inaugural National Breakfast Awards and we’re extremely excited to be involved!

The judges were inundated with impressive entries, which they painstakingly whittled down to the 16 finalists. The finalists come from four different sectors including cafes, restaurants, hotels and pubs & bars. Competing for 3 different titles, the National Breakfast of the Year, Breakfast Chef of the Year and Smoothie of the Year, the finalists will go head to head in a live cook-off at Westminster Kingsway College on 30th January 2018. The dishes will be scored by an industry-leading panel of judges and there’s a £1,000 prize up for grabs.

The expert judges have also been revealed as Steve Slark, Chairman of the Beverage Standards Association; Chris O’Neill, Group Executive Chef of The Breakfast Club; Roy Sommer, Chairman of The F&B Managers Association of London; James Scott, Executive Head Chef for New World Trading Company and our very own Innovation Chef, Richard Troman.

For the technical challenge the finalists will be using our Kerrymaid Hollandaise sauce so we’re looking forward to seeing the results – stay tuned for the recipes!
